Free SEO Content Analyzer & Keyword Density Checker

The Free SEO Content Analyzer helps you check an article before you publish it. Paste your article or WordPress HTML to analyze keyword density, focus keyword placement, headings, readability, links, image alt text, and more. The tool can also suggest useful WordPress tags based on the actual subjects found in your content.

You do not need an account, an AI subscription, or special SEO knowledge. The SEO Content Analyzer runs directly in your browser and gives you an easy-to-understand Content Check score along with the individual measurements behind that score.

Important: The Content Check score is a Mike’s Helpers on-page analysis score. It is not a Google ranking score and does not predict where a page will appear in search results.

🔑 Keyword Density Checker & SEO Content Analyzer

Paste an article as text or HTML. Check keyword density, focus keyword placement, headings, readability, links, image alt text, article statistics, and suggested WordPress tags.

Words: 0   Characters: 0

Used only to identify internal links. If left blank, the domain where this tool is running is used.

Everything is analyzed in your browser. The score is a content check, not a Google ranking score.

🔎 What Does the SEO Content Analyzer Check?

The SEO Content Analyzer examines the content you paste into the tool and looks for measurable on-page SEO and readability signals.

Instead of simply giving you a mysterious score, the analyzer breaks the results into individual checks so you can see what is working and what may deserve another look.

The analysis includes:

  • Focus keyword placement
  • Focus keyword density
  • Keyword and phrase frequency
  • One-word through four-word keyword phrases
  • Heading structure
  • Sentence length
  • Paragraph length
  • Internal and external links
  • Image alt text
  • Article word and character counts
  • Estimated reading time
  • Suggested WordPress tags

🚀 How to Use the Free SEO Content Analyzer

You can perform a basic content check in just a few steps.

  1. Paste your article. You can use regular text or HTML copied from your WordPress editor.
  2. Enter your focus keyword or keyphrase. This lets the analyzer check where and how often the phrase appears.
  3. Enter the website domain. This optional field helps the tool distinguish internal links from external links.
  4. Choose how many WordPress tags you want. Eight is the default.
  5. Choose your tag style. Use Balanced for a general mix, Short Tags for shorter terms, or Specific Phrases for more detailed tags.
  6. Analyze your content. Review the Content Check score and individual results.

You can then make any changes you think will genuinely improve the article and analyze it again.

🎯 Check Focus Keyword Placement and Density

If you provide a focus keyword, the SEO Content Analyzer checks more than the number of times it appears.

The tool can examine whether the focus keyword appears in prominent parts of the article, including the opening content and headings. It also calculates keyword usage based on the article you provide.

This can help identify a keyword that is barely mentioned or one that may be appearing more frequently than expected.

Keyword density is only a measurement. There is no universal keyword-density percentage that guarantees better Google rankings. Write naturally and use the measurement as information rather than a target that must be reached.

📊 Keyword Density and Phrase Analysis

The tool analyzes individual words as well as phrases containing multiple words. This can reveal the subjects and terminology that appear most prominently throughout an article.

You can examine:

  • Single words
  • Two-word phrases
  • Three-word phrases
  • Four-word phrases

This is useful because an article’s subject is often represented better by a phrase such as AI-generated content or scaled content abuse than by isolated words such as content or article.

🏷️ Generate Better WordPress Tags

The SEO Content Analyzer also includes a WordPress tag generator.

Rather than simply selecting the most frequently used individual words, the tag generator looks for meaningful topics and phrases found throughout the article. It considers prominent content such as headings and the opening portion of the article when selecting tag candidates.

If you provide a useful focus keyphrase, the tool can also consider it as a high-priority tag candidate.

You can choose how many tags you want and copy the finished list for use in WordPress.

Remember: Suggested tags are recommendations. Review them before adding them to your website and remove any tag that does not accurately represent the article.

📖 Check Article Readability

Readability is not simply a question of whether a sentence is technically correct. Long sentences and large paragraphs can sometimes make online content harder to follow.

The analyzer measures structural readability signals including:

  • Average sentence length
  • Sentences longer than 25 words
  • Very long sentences
  • Long paragraphs

A long sentence is not automatically a bad sentence. Sometimes a complicated idea genuinely needs more words. The readability check is intended to identify areas worth reviewing, not automatically declare that the writing is bad.

🔗 Check Internal and External Links

When you paste HTML containing links, the SEO Content Analyzer can check for both internal and external links.

Enter the domain of the website where the article will be published. For example:

example.com

A link pointing to that domain is treated as an internal link. Links pointing to other HTTP or HTTPS websites are treated as external links.

This is particularly useful when you are analyzing an article for a different website than the one where the SEO Content Analyzer is running.

How Are Links Scored?

The Content Check awards up to 15 points for links:

  • Internal link detected: 8 points
  • External link detected: 7 points
  • Both detected: 15 points

Adding more and more links does not keep increasing the score. The analyzer checks for the presence of useful link types rather than encouraging unnecessary link stuffing.

🖼️ Check Images and Alt Text

If your pasted HTML contains images, the analyzer can check whether alt text is present.

Alt text can help describe an image when it cannot be seen and is an important part of making web content more accessible.

The tool can identify images in the supplied HTML and warn when an image is missing alt text.

🧮 How Is the Content Check Score Calculated?

The SEO Content Analyzer uses six categories to calculate the Content Check score. The complete score is worth 100 points.

  • Keyword Placement: 20 points
  • Heading Structure: 15 points
  • Keyword Usage: 20 points
  • Readability: 15 points
  • Links: 15 points
  • Image Alt Text: 15 points

The individual scores make it easier to understand why an article received its overall rating.

For example, an article could have excellent keyword placement and heading structure while losing several points because it contains no internal links or has images without alt text.

This does not automatically mean the article is poor. It tells you which measurable elements caused the score to change.

⚠️ What the SEO Content Analyzer Score Does Not Mean

A 100/100 Content Check does not guarantee high Google rankings.

Search rankings depend on far more than the measurable elements this browser tool can examine. The analyzer cannot determine things such as backlinks, search competition, website authority, indexing status, user satisfaction, or whether your information is actually better than competing pages.

The Content Check should be treated as a practical review tool rather than a prediction of search-engine performance.

Likewise, an article scoring 80 does not automatically need to be changed until it reaches 100. Review why points were deducted and decide whether the suggested improvement makes sense for the article.

🤖 Does the SEO Content Analyzer Use AI?

No. The SEO Content Analyzer does not need an AI model or AI API to perform its analysis.

The tool uses browser-based calculations to examine the text and HTML you provide. It measures things such as words, phrases, keyword occurrences, headings, sentence lengths, links, and image attributes.

This also means the Content Check is based on measurable rules rather than an AI model’s opinion about whether it likes your article.

💡 Should I Change Everything the Analyzer Flags?

No.

The analyzer is designed to help you find things worth reviewing. It is not intended to replace your judgment.

If a 35-word sentence is clear and needs to be 35 words long, you do not have to butcher it into smaller sentences simply to gain another point. If an article genuinely does not need an external reference, do not add a worthless link solely to increase the score.

Use the results to find possible problems. You decide whether they are actually problems.

❓ SEO Content Analyzer Frequently Asked Questions

Is the SEO Content Analyzer free?

Yes. The SEO Content Analyzer is free to use on Mike’s Helpers.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You do not need to create an account to analyze your content.

Can I paste WordPress HTML?

Yes. In fact, HTML allows the analyzer to inspect additional elements such as headings, links, and images that may not be available in plain text.

Can I paste plain text?

Yes. The tool can analyze plain text, although checks that depend on HTML markup may have less information available.

What should I enter for Website Domain?

Enter the domain where the article will be published, such as example.com. This allows the analyzer to distinguish links to your own website from links to other websites.

Does a higher Content Check score mean I will rank higher in Google?

No. The Content Check is an on-page analysis score created by Mike’s Helpers. It is not a Google score and does not predict search rankings.

What is keyword density?

Keyword density measures how frequently a word or phrase appears compared with the amount of text in the article. It is useful as a measurement, but there is no single keyword-density percentage that guarantees better rankings.

Should my focus keyword become a WordPress tag?

Sometimes. If the focus keyword accurately describes the main subject of the article and makes sense as a tag, the analyzer may treat it as a strong tag candidate. An awkward or irrelevant keyword should not become a tag simply because it was entered as the focus keyword.

How many WordPress tags should I generate?

The tool defaults to eight suggested tags. You can change the number depending on your article and how your WordPress website uses tags. Quality and relevance are more important than simply creating a large number of tags.

Why did my score increase after I added a link or image?

Links and image alt text are included in the Content Check. When the analyzer detects qualifying elements in the HTML you provide, the appropriate part of the score can change.

Does the analyzer understand whether my writing is good?

Not in the way a human editor does. Readability measurements are based on structural signals such as sentence and paragraph length. A long sentence is not automatically poor writing, which is why you should review the measurements rather than blindly changing everything that is flagged.

Does this replace an SEO plugin?

No. This tool is designed to analyze content you paste into it. A WordPress SEO plugin can perform other site-level jobs such as generating metadata, sitemaps, schema, and indexing controls.

Does the SEO Content Analyzer save my article?

The analyzer performs its content calculations in your browser. It does not need to send the article to an AI API in order to perform the analysis.
